FAQ
How secure is the survey?
The security and confidentiality of data and information is an essential aspect of our business at WA Business News and Insync Surveys. Our online surveys are hosted by a professional web hosting company, with 24 hour monitoring and rigorously maintained to the highest level of security, protecting against hackers.
Remote administration on our servers, including database administration, is done via a secure connection to ensure that critical transactions cannot be intercepted. Survey responses are protected via the use of individual passwords, with great care taken to ensure that confidentiality is maintained under all circumstances.
What happens to the information collected by Insync Surveys?
All personal information about individuals and confidential information about organisations that use Insync Surveys is and will remain confidential and secure. At no time will WA Business News receive individual employee responses. A list of high performers will be published. Results for the award winning organisations will be shared with WA Business News to assist with the editorial feature to be published post-Awards.
How is the survey designed?
The survey used has been especially developed to be relevant to the Western Australian market as what we are experiencing in the market is unparalleled to the rest of the nation.
Taking this into consideration the survey has been broken into three areas:
Part 1
Employees will be firstly asked to provide a range of standard demographic information including: job level, employment status, tenure, age and gender.
Part 2
The survey will then contain a short mix of statements that explore engagement and advocacy.
Part 3
The last part of the survey ask the Employee Net Promoter Score* (ENPS) question which asks “How likely are you to recommend ‘participating organisation' to friends or colleagues”. It will also include questions around the employees intention to stay within the organisation.
One of the main benefits of ENPS is that it offers busy managers a clear, easily understood metric that’s actionable. The charge to mangers is simple – increase your promoters and reduce your detractors.
How will the data of each individual survey response be used?
Survey respondents should be aware that their data will be aggregated and used for the following purposes:
- rating their employer
- benchmarking the results of other organisations
- research and marketing
How confidential is the survey for employees?
Employees should know that individual results will not be provided back to their employer except when aggregated with the responses of others. Any free text comments provided may be reported verbatim so therefore respondents should be aware that they may inadvertently indentify themselves by virtue of their opinions or writing style.
Free text comments will be provided to WA Business News for use in publicity or marketing materials related to the Program, but if quoted these comments will not be related to their employer.
Can my company see the survey before we sign up to participate?
Yes. Click here to view the Survey and Report Samples.
How long will it take to complete the employee survey?
It should only take about five minutes for each employee to complete the survey.
Our company employs seasonal, temporary and independent contractors. Should they be included in the survey?
No. We only want to survey permanent full and part-time employees.
What happens if I’ve lost my password or I’m unable to log in?
Please contact Insync Surveys on 08 6461 6485 to have your details reissued.
Our parent company is located outside of Western Australia, are we still eligible to participate?
As long as you have at least 25 full and part-time permanent employees in Western Australia, you are eligible.
Our company has employees in many states, will the survey apply to those who are out of state?
No, only those individuals employed in Western Australia will be surveyed.
Why is it important for an organisation to be an employer of choice?
As we emerge from the global financial crises employees are about to be in the driver's seat again. They will be making choices about where, when, and how they will work.
Without good people, employers cannot manufacture products or serve their customers. It just makes sense for organisations to want to be the employers that people choose to work for. In fact, in the future, being a preferred employer will be a matter of corporate survival.
